Come join the 19th Annual Balboa Island Parade on Sunday June 3rd.The Parade Committee urges Island residents to participate and join the fun. Use your imagination, be creative and have a ball. Individual, Group, Block, or Street entries are encouraged to participate. Children are what parades are all about, so encourage them to participate too.

To be a participant this year, please pick up your entry form at one of the following Balboa Island stores-Even Sisters, Hershey’s Market, Martha’s Bookstore, Lora Vance Realty, Persimmon Tree, Wilma’s or email BIParade@att.net. The deadline for entries is May 6th, so don’t wait! Secure your spot NOW for parade day, this year we are only accepting 100 entries.

About The balboa island improvement association
In 1918 the Balboa Island Improvement Association was started (and is still going strong). The BIIA was a strong motivating force in working with the City on bulkhead repair, ferry service, a sewer system, water, gas, electricity, paved streets and sidewalks, and street lighting.

California's largest and one of the islands most well established events. Marine Ave is closed off from 10 - 2 pm. Highlights- The theme was "Stars and Stripes Forever" featured will be the U.S. Marine corps color guard and band. This event once again was attended by thousands. From floats, marching bands, and vintage cars to drill teams, dog breeding groups, and more, the parade offered something for everyone. Click here for last year's Picture Gallery.

The 13th Annual Balboa Island Parade, commemorating the reopening of the islands Firestation 13 years ago went without a hitch June 4. Hope your were there, if not, here are some highlights... Click Here. The event was attended by thousands of onlookers to see all the floats, bands, and entertainers. The parade led into a day of festivities including live bands and entertainment all alone Marine Avenue. See below for picture galleries.
2005's 12th Annual theme was "Salute the Troops" held on Sunday, June 5. Hope your were there, if not, here are some highlights... Mayor Bromberg announced that the 12th Annual Balboa Island Parade was held on June 5, 2005. He stated that approximately 7,000 people were in attendance.
